Tania’s first taste of backstage life came in 5th grade as a Props Assistant on a school play (The Monster That Ate Canberra). It wasn’t until she volunteered as a Props Assistant on the Sydney 2000 Olympics Opening and Closing ceremonies that her love for theatre was rekindled and after a couple of NIDA short courses hasn’t looked back.

Tania has worked on plays, musicals, concerts, cabarets, a fashion parade and a Catholic Mass.

Highlights include working as Resident Stage Manager Factory Space Theatre from 2004 – 2005, I Hate Hamlet, Two Weeks with the Queen, and The Underpants for Phoenix Theatre, Baby with the Bathwater for The Red Room, The Night Heron for Scorch Theatre, Hedwig and the Angry Inch for Showtune Productions, Short Sweet + Song 2007 - 2009, City for Sale for Veneer Productions, The 5 Elements for TaikOz and Synergy Percussion and the 2003 Rugby World Cup Opening Ceremony.

In addition to my theatre work, I have worked as a Stage and Venue Manager for the cabaret rooms Kabarett Junction and Kabarett Voltaire run by Showtune Productions and stage managed a season of Cherry Rumba at the Columbian Hotel for Jude Bowler Entertainment. I have stage managed local and international performers including Christine Anu, Tim Minchin, Rufus Wainwright, Lillias White, Faith Prince and Lorna Luft to name a few.
